Dear IALP Member,

Call for Expressions of Interest: IALP AI Task Force (Additional Members)

IALP is inviting expressions of interest from members who wish to join the newly established IALP Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Task Force currently includes nine members of the IALP Board and CEO, and we are seeking to expand its expertise and global representation by recruiting another three members from the general membership.

Purpose of the AI Task Force

The AI Task Force has been established to help IALP understand and respond to the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in communication sciences and disorders. The key issues to begin considering will be:

examining how governments worldwide are developing, regulating, and applying AI in health and social care
clarifying the role of national professional bodies in guiding safe and ethical AI use
reviewing how comparable international organisations are approaching AI
understanding how SLP and audiology professionals are using AI in public/private clinical, educational, and community settings
exploring how faculty members and students are engaging with AI in academic and training contexts

The Task Force will synthesise these insights to develop recommendations for consideration by the IALP Board.

We welcome applications from IALP Individual Members who can contribute expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Use of AI in clinical practice, including public, private, or school?based settings
Experience presenting or publishing on AI, such as conference presentations, workshops, or peer?reviewed papers
